New music: Today by Dave Coz and Cory Wong. (Website or Spotify or YouTube). Jazz, I guess! That’s Dave (who did the 1990s theme song for General Hospital) on lead sax and Cory (from the band Vulfpeck) on rhythm guitar, backed by Cory’s band, who I believe are properly referred to as '“the Wongnotes.”
New music: Midnight Wine by Shannon & the Clams. (Bandcamp or Spotify or YouTube). San Francisco-style psych rock, driven by organ and fuzzy guitar.
Old music: Carnival Kids by The Futureheads (2003). (Spotify or YouTube). Medium-strength punk rock with some fun harmony work. I loved this album (which is available in full on YouTube) in high school, and I still love it.
